Colour, Tone & Texture 2026

Thinking of the theme, “Colour, Tone and Texture”, I immediately knew that one of my constant inspirations would be appropriate for this exhibition. That is, the landscape surrounding my home, the water, trees and forested hills around Holy Loch. There are waterfalls and burns flowing into the loch from the hills. A walk on the shoreline must always include some beachcombing and a look at the rock outcrops, where natural rockpools are created by erosion. The exhibits are my interpretation of the textures, contrasting muted tones, textures and water in the landscape.
